When you download a web page, the files you retrieve are stored in the browser cache. When you click a link or type a URL to fetch a particular web page for which the cache already contains a copy, Internet Explorer compares the cached copy to the original. If there have been no changes, Internet Explorer uses the cached copy rather than refetching the original.

That way, the page loads quickly. But if the web page is updated frequently, as may be the case with news, sports scores or financial data, you won't get the most current information. By using the Refresh button on Internet Explorer, this timely data is updated by downloading fresh data from the server.

To see cached files select Tools

then Internet Options in Internet Explorer menu.

Now click Tempoprary Internet files - Settings button and then View Files button.

If you don't want anyone can see cached files, you should erase them. You can delete cached files by clicking Delete Files... button or you can use our internet eraser software.
